Five days, eight suicide blasts and more than one twenty people perished and more than four hundred people injured due to current wave of terrorism in Pakistan. When I write these lines I feel the agony of effected families. Pakistan has lost its brave and intelligent officer a couple of days ago. The whole atmosphere of Pakistan is very gloomy and somber and everyone feels grieved over the loss of theircompatriots. Terrorists are hitting innocent people on roads, shrines, markets, check posts, mosques and other places of worship. Security agencies claim that terrorists are crossing the borders of Pakistan from their sanctuaries in Afghanistan. They are making new strategies to hit the innocent people of Pakistan.
Terrorists hit peaceful protesters at Mall Road Lahore last Monday turning usually joyful Lahorites sad and gloomy. Last year, terrorists targeted a public park named Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park in Lahore. About 75 people including 30 children lost their lives in that attack. Over this tragic incident, the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif cancelled his USA visit for Nuclear Summit. World leaders including the Prime Minister of our South Asian rival, India, Narindra Modi expressed condolences over the loss of so many lives. Also John Kerry (USA Secretary of State of that time) François Hollande (President of France), Justin Trudeau (PM of Canada) all condemned Gulshan-e-Iqbal blast. David Cameron (British PM of that time) ordered British High Commission in Pakistan to mourn the incident by flying union jack at half-mast. The Mayor of Canadian city, Toronto John Tory announced in his tweet that they will light Toronto with the colors of Pakistan’s flag just to show solidarity with the victims of Gulshan-e-Iqbal blast.
